By the end of K2 your child is expected to know every letter's name and most letter sounds, including pairs like "ch" and "sh", and to blend sounds into short words — families like "-at", "-en" and "-ug", then words such as "grab". A few sight words like "a", "the" and "to" are learned whole. Kindergarten isn't compulsory in Singapore, so this is a typical K2 rather than a fixed rule.

Checked against Singapore's national kindergarten framework, published by the Ministry of Education. How the words are chosen.

Games that match K2

Opening a game from this page sets the school year to K2, and every game then keeps the words at that level — so a K2 child gets K2 words, not a guess. The school year is a tap away inside the game, so a child moving up a year, or a younger sibling taking a turn, changes it in seconds.
