Opens Fredle.

Your child starts with 19 consonant sounds and the 5 short vowels, building them into word families like "-at" and "-ug" and words like "stop". Letter pairs follow — "th", "sh", "ch", "wh", then vowel pairs like "ee" and "oa", "ar" and "or", "ou" and "oy" — with the endings "-s", "-ing" and "-ed", all revisited through Primary 3. This matches what's covered in Primary 1 classrooms across Singapore.

Checked against the English Language Syllabus, published by Singapore's Ministry of Education. How the words are chosen.

Games that match Primary 1

Opening a game from this page sets the school year to Primary 1, and every game then keeps the words at that level — so a Primary 1 child gets Primary 1 words, not a guess. The school year is a tap away inside the game, so a child moving up a year, or a younger sibling taking a turn, changes it in seconds.
