Prefixes "un-", "dis-", "mis-", "re-" and endings "-ful", "-less", "-ly", "-ness", "-er", "-est" turn familiar words into new ones. Irregular past tense is covered too — "blow" becomes "blew", "catch" becomes "caught" — alongside plural rules like "-ies", plus real homophones like "here" and "hear". This is standard Year 3 spelling teaching in England.
